Philip L. (Phil) Hayden – Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Hayden is an internationally known and highly regarded executive business consultant and thought leader focused on the creation and refinement of effective business strategies. He is an expert in the development of management teams, the execution of business plans and the development and training of the people that execute those strategies.
As a thought leader in the concept of consultative relationship building and customer maximization strategies, Mr. Hayden has pioneered these ideas throughout the financial services industry,business services segment and the insurance/risk mitigation business platforms. His innovative approaches to strategy, training and people empowerment lead the way to better customer relationships, stronger more cohesive internal teams and improved business results.
Mr. Hayden has consulted with and improved the business environments at such companies as, Bank One, Regions Bank, American International Group (AIG), SwissRe, GE, Lloyds, Excello Group and hundreds more. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Excello Group, Daymark Group, Central National Bank, The United Way and the Institute of Cognitive Development.
Mr. Hayden was most recently the CEO of PHI Global Solutions,a global consulting firm that specialized in improving margins and marketshare in companies facing commodity pressures. He also served as the Vice Chairman of CRD, an internationally known branding consultancy firm. His other corporate assignments include Senior Vice President of ICD, a global trading organization, Managing Director of Noranda Forest, U.S.Operations and Vice President of Meadows Group/ Public Service Company of New Mexico.
Martin C. Walker – Chief Knowledge Officer and Founder
Mr. Walker’s primary responsibility is the technology development and delivery of Information Defense Corporation’s solutions.
Martin has over 20 years experience in Information Technology. Mr. Walker’s primary focus over the last 13 years has been Information Security practices. Martin’s expertise includes incident response, forensics, security design, implementation and management, as well as security program development including policy, process, and regulatory compliance. Prior to founding Information Defense Martin delivered solutions for Protiviti to a variety of high profile global clients. Martin’s experience spans a wide range of environments including financial services and banking, healthcare providers and payers, manufacturers, telecommunications, media outlets, charitable organizations, managed service providers, and utilities. Balancing an extensive technical background, Martin is a firm believer in a business focused pragmatic approach to problem solving and solutions development.
Mr. Walker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Cincinnati. Along with many product-specific certifications, Martin is a GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), a GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP). Martin is a member of the SANS/GIAC Advisory Board and is a SANS Mentor.
Martin J. Schmidt – Executive Vice President and Founder
Mr. Schmidt’s primary responsibilities include the business development and product design of Information Defense Corporation’s solutions. Marty has over 25 years experience delivering technology solutions in large global environments. Marty has served in both technical and executive IT leadership roles within diverse global organizations serving the pharmaceutical, financial services, consumer goods and healthcare industries.
Prior to Information Defense Marty founded Network Management Solutions in 1996, a Managed Services Provider and technology integrator where he served as CEO for over 10 years selling the business in late 2006. Network Management Solutions designed, implemented and managed network infrastructures and management systems for the Fortune 500, and SME market. Marty has been responsible for assisting a variety of security solutions providers establish brand awareness and market presence within the US including UBIZEN, Qualys and Network Intelligence.
Mr. Schmidt is an alumnus of Berklee College of Music in Boston and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology. Marty is a member of the New York US Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force.
